Thomas Bourveau
Thomas Bourveau is a Professor of Accounting at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and the academic director of the Oxford Initiative on Rethinking Performance.
Thomas is also a Research Member at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), a Research Fellow at the Millstein Center at Columbia Law School, and an International Research Fellow at the Sustainability & Organizations (S&O) Institute at HEC Paris.
Prior to joining the University of Oxford, he held various academic and non-academic positions. Notably, he worked as a senior research scientist at the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board, the regulator of audit firms in the United States.
Before that, he served as an Associate Professor at Columbia University and as an Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
His research lies at the intersection of accounting, law, and economics. In his research, he examine the role of voluntary disclosure and verification in both regulated and unregulated markets, with a broad focus on capital, product and labor markets.
Thomas had teaching experiences at various levels, including MBA, Executive MBA and doctoral programs.
