Jiong Zhu
Jiong Zhu is an Associate Professor of Economics at Xiamen University. Professor Zhu holds a Ph.D. in Management (2020) from Renmin University of China, and a B.A. in Finance and a B.S. in Mathematics (2014) from Southwest University. He also serves as a research associate at China Finance 40 Forum and Shanghai Institute for National Economy and a virtual young scholar of Global Labor Organization.
Professor Zhu’s research interests are in the fields of Applied Microeconomics
(History, Development, and Political Economy). His recent
research focuses on: (i) Misallocation of Land and
Labor; Entrepreneurship and Innovations; (iii) AI, Firm Dynamics, and
Monitoring, et cetera.
