Rong Luo
Rong Luo
Rong Luo is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics, Renmin University of China. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University and previously held a faculty position at the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on structural empirical industrial organization, platform antitrust, and dual-carbon environmental regulation.
She has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Project and General Program, and participated in key research projects. Her work has been published in top international journals, including Management Science, International Economic Review (IER), and Journal of Development Economics (JDE). She currently serves as an Associate Editor for China Economic Review. Professor Luo has been frequently invited to deliver academic seminars at leading universities both in China and abroad.
Her research findings have provided substantive support for antitrust investigations conducted by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), and her policy recommendations have been adopted and received official written endorsements at both national and provincial/ministerial levels. Her work demonstrates a unique combination of frontier theoretical and methodological innovation with significant practical policy impact.
