Yan Bai
Yan Bai is a professor of economics at the University of Rochester, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. She is also a co-editor for the Journal of International Economics and a member of the advisory board for the Carnegie-Rochester-NYU Conference on Public Policy. Bai completed her PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota, having completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in China. Bai’s research focuses on macroeconomics, international macroeconomics, and the Chinese economy. She has written several papers on the role of barriers to financial markets on international capital flows, firm dynamics, and business cycles. Her publications include articles in academic journals (Econometrica, American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Review of Economic Studies, and others).
